On the Donate Now page, constituents can make a one-time donation toward a specific fund and sometimes for a specific appeal.

Page URL
The URL used to browse to the Donate Now page determines the donation product and the donation fund to which constituents can give.
Log in Message
If constituents are not logged into Community Hub, then a message displays at the top of the page prompting them to log in or create an account so they can be credited with their gift. If constituents choose not to use an account, then they can proceed without logging in.
Choosing a Donation Amount
Constituents can click a suggested donation amount or can click Other Amount to enter a custom amount.
Viewing and Entering Donation Amount in Preferred Currency
As of the Nimble AMS Winter '20 release, if your Org is enabled with the Internationalization feature and currencies are added for the logged in Community Hub user, then they can select their preferred currency from a drop down on the top right. On doing this, all the listed donation amounts will be displayed in preferred currency of the user. Also, they can enter a donation amount in their preferred currency.
In addition, if the user's preferred currency is different than the association's base currency or corporate currency, then they will be shown an informational message above the total amount. The message will state that the final payment will be completed in association's base currency.
A guest user can also view the donation amount in their preferred currency by selecting the same from this drop down, which will have all the currencies set at an organization level.
Entering Donation Information
Constituents can provide information around their donation, such as, whether the gift should be reported as anonymous. Staff can add additional donation information fields to suit the needs of your association.
Entering Email Information
If constituents are not logged in, then they must enter an email to which an order summary will be sent. If constituents are logged in, then their email is filled in automatically from Person Email
on their account.
Constituents can enter additional emails—separated by commas—to receive an order summary. Staff can also add additional fields to this card to collect any other necessary information
Entering Payment Information
When the donation product is recurring and frequencies are set for the same, a community hub user will be able to see the Product Frequency Card on Donate Now page. If the staff user selects any frequency other than One Time and they do not have any stored payment methods, while entering the card details, the Save for Future Use
checkbox will be selected by default and cannot be deselected.
When Stored Payment Methods is enabled, users can save the payment details entered during checkout without navigating away from the checkout page. They can do this by selecting the Save for Future Use
checkbox while entering their payment details.
Not Logged In
If constituents are not logged in, they must enter the billing address and payment information for the donation. The Payment Type card is not displayed, and constituents cannot use Bill Me or a stored payment method to pay.
Order Submission
When constituents click to submit the donation:
- If the Address Verification Service in Authorize.Net is enabled, an error message displays if constituents did not enter their billing address or if the entered address is invalid. Learn more (external).
- If they are logged in, they are taken the Order Summary page.
If the constituent did not log in, they are taken to the Donate Now Thanks Page. Additionally, the donation record created in the order is related to the Online Guest Checkout account.
Verify Checkout Page in Entity record is correct
To avoid getting logged out in the process of making a donation, ensure that value of Checkout Page field of the Entities record matches the format:
{Community Hub URL}donate now
where {Community Hub URL} is the URL of Community Hub.- If constituents used an appeal checkout URL to browse to the page, and the appeal
Status
is Active, then the donation record is related to that appeal record so you can track giving in your analytics.
